Chamber Orchestra

The University of Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra is open to all students on campus, as well as members of the surrounding community. The orchestra presents two concerts each semester, with each designed to reflect great variety and a high level of musicianship. Selections from the standard repertoire are set against the music of modern and contemporary composers. The orchestra is conducted by by Dr. James Spinazzola, and string sectionals are led by Dr. Ariana Kim.

The Chamber Orchestra rehearses on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 – 8:30 and on Thursday evenings from 6:30 – 7:20 in room 109 of the Christel DeHaan Fine Arts Center, and is open to all by audition. Because it is an academic course, participants have the opportunity to enroll each semester to receive either graduate or undergraduate college credit. For University of Indianapolis undergraduate students, this credit will be applied to the fulfillment of their fine arts requirement. Educators may enroll for graduate credit to fulfill their requirements for ongoing professional development.
