Choral Union (Conducting Lab)

The University of Indianapolis Choral Union (Conducting Lab) is separate and distinct from the University of Indianapolis Choral Union (Community Chorus). Membership in Choral Union (Conducting Lab) does not require membership in Choral Union (Community Chorus) and they do not meet at the same time. Each has a different course number:

Choral Union (Conducting Lab): MUS 181 50 (CRN: 11636)
Choral Union (Community Chorus): MUS 181 51 (CRN: 13395)

The purpose of the Choral Union (Conducting Lab) is to serve as a laboratory chorus for UIndy Music Department Advanced Choral Conducting students. It meets only in the fall semester. The rehearsals are bi-weekly on Tuesday evenings as outlined in the course syllabus which is distributed to all student members at the beginning of the fall semester.

College credit earned through participation in this ensemble counts towards fulfillment of the fine arts requirement and also can fulfill portions of the ensemble requirements of the Music Department.

Questions and clarifications regarding the Choral Union (Conducting Lab) may be directed to Dr. Paul Krasnovsky either at krasnovsky@uindy.edu or (317) 783-9996.
