Concert Choir
The University of Indianapolis Concert Choir [MUS 160-01 CRN 11296] is an auditioned, mixed chorus of forty-eight students from all fields of study. The ensemble performs several times throughout the year on campus and tours domestically and internationally, including tours to China (June of 2007), New Mexico (2008,) Chicago (2009) and an upcoming tour the Balkans and the Adriatic Sea (June, 2010).
The choir performs a wide variety of literature from the Masses of Mozart and Haydn (with orchestra,) to traditional college choir literature, and staged performances of opera.
The Concert Choir has appeared with Maestro Raymond Leppard, Artist-in-Residence of the University of Indianapolis, and with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, the Indianapolis Baroque Orchestra, and for the Central Division Convention of the American Choral Directors Association.
Rehearsals are held in CDFAC 108 on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 3:00 until 3:50.
