Opera Auditions

Next February the UIndy Music Department will perform a fully-staged production of the opera Too Many Sopranos by Edwin Penhorwood. More about Too Many Sopranos

Students wishing to be considered for roles in Too Many Sopranos must sign up for a choral audition time on Sunday, August 23 between 2 and 4 pm. This audition will be for choral ensemble placement as well as for a role in the opera. You will be asked to perform an aria, preferably in English. In lieu of an aria in English students will be asked to perform a song in English and an aria of their choice.

Please be sure to sign up for a choral ensemble audition time specifically on Sunday, August 23 between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. The sign-up sheet, with individual times, will be posted outside the Music Office (CDFAC 103) in the week before classes begin. Please sign up for a time near someone else to avoid large gaps in the schedule.

If you wait too long to sign up and find that there are no remaining audition times please add your name to the bottom of the list for Sunday, August 23 at 4:00 p.m.
