Community Music Center
The Community Music Center of the University of Indianapolis has served young people and adults with private lessons and ensembles for more than twenty years. The program is designed for students of all ages and levels of study. Instructors are professional teachers and musicians who are recognized as some of the best in the central Indiana community.
The Community Music Center provides a well-rounded music education for its participants designed to complement their school music education. Summer enrichment activities include the Piano Camp, Vocal Arts Institute, and Chamber Music Institute. Students are also invied to attend the many free concerts in the Ruth Lily Performance Hall. A Family Concert Series is available as are performance opportunities for registered students.

Mission
To enrich the cultural life of the community by providing participants of all ages and backgrounds with a comprehensive music education in a nurturing and stimulating environment.
Goals
- To provide the community the opportunity to develop knowledge and ability in all aspects of music at a level appropriate to their needs and interests.
- To inspire the community through the sponsorship of frequent and varied concerts and recitals.
- To provide enrichment seminars and the exchange of ideas among private, K-12, and University faculty and students.
