Sylvia Patterson-Scott
Sylvia Patterson-Scott performs frequently in the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra on piano, harpsichord, celesta, and organ. She has been featured with the ISO as soloist in one of Handel's organ concertos and as duo-pianist in Saint-Saens' "Carnival of the Animals." She is pianist and harpsichordist (and occasional vocalist) with the Scott Chamber Players, Quartet-in-Residence at the Indianapolis Museum of Art. Other performances include collaboration with area singers and instrumentalists and appearances with the Suzuki and Friends and the Ronen chamber ensembles. She has coached chamber music with young string players and pianists in the Indiana University Summer String Academy and the Chamber Music Institute of the University of Indianapolis. In addition to teaching piano, she also coaches professional singers and has performed occasionally with professional vocal groups, including Mon Choeur of the University of Indianapolis.
