Christel DeHaan Fine Arts Center, University of Indianapolis
Purpose:
- To expand private lesson instruction with classes in music
theory and composition, music appreciation, ensemble playing,
and music movement.
- To benefit from instruction by several faculty
- To perform in a recital in the University's Ruth Lilly Performance
Hall in the Christel DeHaan Fine Arts Center.
Recitals will be held on June 19 at noon.
Intermediate Piano Camp
Ages 11-13*
June 15-19, 2009
9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Intermediate Piano Camp includes the study of composers of movie
music, including John Williams, Alan Menken, and Howard Shore. Campers
will learn piano duets and quartets of movie score repertoire, study
composition techniques, learn about orchestration, as well as develop
piano skills using solo repertoire brought to camp.
*13 year olds may qualify for intermediate or advanced camps
depending on repertoire.
Fee:
$140 for Piano Camp I includes tuition, music, and a T-shirt
$185 for Intermediate Piano Camp includes tuition, music, T-shirt,
and lunch each day.
Registration:
Complete and return this form with a nonrefundable $40 deposit
by May 31, 2009. The balance will be paid on the first day of the
camp.
