Dennis McCafferty
Cellist Dennis McCafferty is a graduate of Indiana State and Butler Universities and also studied at Roosevelt University, Banff School of Fine Arts, the Aspen Music Festival, and with members of the Juilliard and Cleveland Quartets. As recitalist and chamber musician, he has appeared frequently with the Indianapolis Chamber Players, Faulkner Chamber Players, Suzuki and Friends Chamber Series, the Linden String Quartet, and as a founding member of the New Century String Quartet, in residence at the University of Indianapolis. His Faculty Artist Series performances have consistently earned high praise from area critics, including a "Year's Best" citation from the Indianapolis Star for works of Messiaen and Martinu. McCafferty teaches applied cello, coaches chamber music, and directs the University Chamber Orchestra.
